It’s already a week into 2017 and at least some of us have fallen off the wagon with our fitness goals. Some of the common problems are finding free time and lack of motivation. But don’t worry- just install or update the Google Calendar app and Google will take care of tracking and scheduling your fitness goals.
Last year Google introduced Goals in Google Calendar. The feature finds free time in your calendar and schedule activities such as running, working out, reading or mediating. With the new update, you can connect Apple Health and Google Fit to your fitness goals in Google Calendar. This eliminates the need for manually marking your goal “done” every time. When you do, activity in your favorite fitness apps will be recorded and used to mark your goals in Google Calendar as “done” automatically, says Florian Goerisch, Product Manager of Google Calendar in a recent blog post.
The new visual performance tracker will show how you are doing with your fitness goals. With this integration, future goal times will be even more tailored based on when you’re most likely to complete them. The feature works with both Android (Google Fit) and iOS (Apple Health) devices.
