So, now Siri will send WhatsApp messages for you, if you are too lazy to type it. The new version 2.16.10 of WhatsApp will also allow you to ask Siri to make calls to anyone.
The Facebook-owned messaging app recently came up with an update, becoming one of the first firms to make use of iOS 10’s support for third-party Siri integration.
So, all you need is your voice and then you can ask Siri to do things for you. It will exactly do the same thing unless it misinterprets what you’ve said.
Talk to your mother, farther, friend or anyone and Siri will assist you. Siri will always confirm things before doing it, so there is no scope for confusion and you shouldn’t worry at all.
But before you start using it, you have to enable controls within your iPhone’s settings. To make it work, go to Settings > Siri > App Support > WhatsApp > Check.
The other iOS 10-based features include ability to answer the WhatsApp calls right from the phone’s lock screen. The company has also added a widget that allows user to jump to recent chats or see unread messages.
And if you think WhatsApp is the first third-party app to use Siri, you are wrong. Ride-hailing company Uber has already announced its plans to use Siri and make rides more comfortable for its users.
The company in its latest update enables Siri to book rides and receive real-time updates. Further, Uber user can book a ride even from the Maps app. So, you can call a black car to your doorstep ordering Siri to do that.
