The company has come up with a solution which is now live and can be accessed here. You will land on this page – Windows 10 1607 (RS1) Script fix to unblock update for Insider – a Microsoft Installer file that makes changes without requiring any registry edits or permission changes.
Here is how you can install KB3194496 (Cumulative Update 14393.222).
1. Click the Download button. Select another language, if you want to, from Change Language and then click Change.
2. Click Run to start the installation immediately.
3. Click Save to copy the download to your computer for installation at a later time.
There is still no clue about how many PCs get affected but the number can be in hundreds of thousands.

“If you are among the affected users, you can download and run the script to unblock the update and resume normal Windows 10 operation,” it added.
