Sometimes, you may even worry over nothing at all. Too much worry only adds up to the anxiety level, and may leave you disturbed. For once, think of a positive outcome and tell yourself that it will work. Once your brain is free of negativity, it automatically begins to clear blockages and work with full concentration. Worry simply steals away great moments from your life.
Sometimes, just a positive thought can mend everything. It is all about how you look at things and how you deal with them. You can be happy just when you want. If you have the power to destroy yourself, you also have the power to build yourself stronger.
Always remember, ‘Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.’
Here are a few tricks to bid adieu to unnecessary worries.
1. Take quick action
Before a storm of negative thoughts enter your brain and take away your ability to think rationally, immediately change the direction of your thoughts. Take deep breaths and start to think afresh, only positive this time. It works wonders!
2. Change your mind-set
More often than not, the things you worry about don’t occur for real. It is just in your mind. The Swedish proverb puts it just rightly- ‘Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow.’ So, tell yourself that this is not something to worry about, and that it is time to work and be in the present.
3. Avoid ambiguity of thoughts
Living in fear is not really living. To fear the future is to abandon yourself of the happiness today. Vague fears only double your worry. Be realistic; don’t indulge in thoughts like, ‘What if doesn’t work out?’ or ‘What if I don’t succeed?’ Spare yourself the misery.
Meditation creates positive vibes, and lets you focus on important pieces of work. When your mind is wandering elsewhere, the chances of you to overthink of a particular situation that troubled you is high. Negative thoughts can make you feel all low. Before it creeps in, meditate and let it go.
5. Talk to your family and friends
When you speak your mind, you become more relaxed. The other person may make you realize that your worry is unreal, and it is not worth spending time thinking over it. Also, as you may speak aloud, you get a clearer vision of your own thoughts. And in no time you will realize the vagueness of it.
Enjoy today, for it is never going to come back. And leave the worries for tomorrow, for tomorrow is always in the future, and you certainly don’t have any control over it.
