My son is 11 years old and seriously dyslexic. How can I help him?
Make sure he knows he’s not dumb. Self-esteem will be essential for improving his school performance. To help with reading, you can try to find audio versions of books for him and you can also read along with him. If you haven’t already done so, try to get a professional diagnosis from a neurologist or psychiatrist, and then go to his school and see what assistance options they offer. He’ll be able to push through this with the right amount of support.
